He is a
Mechanical Engineer by profession and an alumni of the
University of Leeds in UK from where he earned his PhD
in Biomedical Engineering. He started his career as a
product engineer in a camera manufacturing firm. After
working for five years there, he joined academics as a
lecturer in Mechanical Engineering. In 2002, he left
for the US for higher studies in Computer Science
after which he worked for prestigious firms such as
20th Century Fox and Juniper Networks. He moved to
England for a second masters and eventually PhD.
He
specializes in computational modelling of contact
mechanics and biotribology of joints. His research has
been published in many reputed international journals
and conferences. He is a member of Orthopaedic
Research Society, USA. He left high paying job in the
UK to serve the people of this nation and thus
Sandhyasthi biomedicals, a research and consulting
firm was born. They aim to bring together doctors,
academicians and medical device industry to work
towards delivering affordable health care solutions.

served for Indian Petrochemical Corporation Ltd., IPCL
as General Manager, R&D during 1988-2004. Dr. Patel
has also served Reliance Life Science as Research Team
Leader: Industrial Biotech. He has worked for ARIBAS

Dr.
Renuka Mishra is Assistant Professor in Department of
Pharmaceutics, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma
University, Ahmedabad. She has completed her B.Pharm,
M.Pharm from L.M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad. She
has also cleared GATE 2002
with 96.1 percentile. She has completed her PhD from
Nirma University in 2010. She has one year of
Industrial experience and 8.5 years of academic
experience. She is actively involved in formulation
and development of novel drug delivery system for
Pharmaceutical companies. She is also actively
involved in testing of various formulations for
various institutes and research organizations. She has
attended national as well as international
conferences, seminars and short term training
programme. She has 12 research publications to her
credit. She has also successfully completed minor
research project from Nirma University.
Dr.
C. S. Bhaskaran Nair - Terumo Penpol Limited,
Trivandrum
Dr.
C.S.Bhaskaran Nair was born at Alleppey, Kerala State
and educated at the University of Kerala, Trivandrum,
from where he obtained his Ph.D Degree |
for his
work on the catalytic vapor phase oxidation of
aromatic hydro carbons.
He
started his career as Research Assistant at the
Central Research Institute, University of Kerala, till
1952. He then joined The Central Fuel Research
Institute, Dhanbad, Bihar and worked there as
Scientist for 27 years. Subsequently he joined the
Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd, Kerala as
Head of Research and Development. On retirement from
FACT in 1984, he joined M/S. Peninsula Polymers Ltd
(now TERUMO PENPOL Ltd.) as Director, Research and
Development . Since 2002, he is working as Consultant
to the Company for Research & Development
Dr.
Nair has developed a number of processes for the
recovery and utilization of chemicals from the coal
industry, fertilizer industry and for pollution
control. Three processes developed by him have been
commercialized. His contributions to the
commercialization of the Technology of Blood bags at
M/S. Peninsula Polymers Ltd. won the DSIR National
Award for R&D to the company for the year 1995.
During
the last 28 years he has been engaged in the
development of improved technology for making nontoxic
PVC compounds for the collection and storage of blood
and blood components and various technological
innovations relating to the sterilization and
packaging of medical devices. For the last seven
years, he has been actively engaged in the newly
emerging field for the development of non DEHP, PVC
containers for the collection and storage of blood and
blood components and apheresis procedures and has made
notable achievements in this field.
Dr.
Nair has published over 90 Research Papers and has 53
patents to his credit. He is a Fellow and Charted
Chemist of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK and the
Institution of chemists, India.

Ramakrishna has been working in DRDO, DFRL since 1984.
He has the contribution such as Development of Radio
protective Pathogen composite films, Bulk Sterilizer
for thermal processing of ready to eat foods with an
intention of indigenous technology for large scale
production of thermo stabilized pouched and canned
foods, Continuous system for blanching of root and
leafy vegetables, with provision to control the
processing parameters, Biosynthesis reactor for
production of Bio-coat to enhance the shelf life,
Innovative breathable film for modified atmosphere
packaging of fresh produces etc.
