Gujarat State Plastic Manufacturers’ Association (GSPMA)
Established in 1970, the
Gujarat State Plastic Manufacturers’ Association (GSPMA)
is one of the leading plastic manufacturers
associations in the country, representing Plastic
Industry at State as well as Central level. At
present, total membership strength of the Association
stands at around 2500. GSPMA is also one of the
founder members of the PLASTINDIA FOUNDATION, an apex
body engaged in the research & development in the
Plastic Industry throughout the country and dedicated
to national progress through plastics. |

GSPMA
is working for the cause of Plastic Industry since
last more than four decades. GSPMA has been engaged in
the promotion of image of Gujarat based units in the
country and has been functioning as a major link
between the Industry & the Government.
GSPMA
also participates in the national/ international
plastics exhibition from time to time. GSPMA had
organized national level plastics exhibitions PLEXPO
in the year 1979, 1995,2004, 2007 & 2010. These events
are considered to be the landmark in the history of
GSPMA PLEXPO’79 was the fist-ever plastics & packaging
exhibition show held in India. |

Plastics Institute (IPI) is the national Association
of Plastics professionals from industry, academics and
students established to pursue following objectives:

Advance & develop the
art, science, technology & engineering of plastics
for the benefit of its members & the public …

Form & organize a
strong professional body of those connected or
concerned with plastics…

Institute, supervise,
advise upon & advance the standard & methods of
education & training at all the levels in the fields
of plastics…

Project plastics… as
‘eco friendly material’
-
Project the vital
contribution of plastics in various fields of
economy…
-
Disseminate for
public awareness all relevant information about
plastics … to remove myths & misconceptions …
educate public … the beneficial role plastics play
in improving overall quality of life.
Indian
Plastics Institute was registered as Society (under
Society Act 1860- Regn. No.333 dated 17.4.1985)in
Mumbai and as a Public Trust in May 1985, as a
successor to Plastics & Rubber Institute, London
(Indian Section) which had started its educational
activities in India in 1963.
IPI has
11 Chapters and 5 Sub-Chapters spread all over India
with more than 3,500 members in different categories.
Main activities of IPI
fall in following categories:

Education, Training and
Manpower Development for the Plastics Industry

Spreading awareness on
responsible use of Plastics amongst society under
program- Plastics and Ecology, conducted
individually or associating with other institutes.

Spreading awareness of
use of Plastics in agriculture for efficient use of
water and protecting the crop and subsequent
agricultural produce, associating with other
institutes-Plasticulture program of Plastindia
Foundation

Encouraging and
recognizing innovations in Industry and Academia,
associating with other associations. - Plasticon
Awards of Plastindia Foundation.

Providing expert
guidance on matters of technology to Industry and
individuals under AAP (Anything About Plastics)
program of IPI.

The All India Plastics
Manufacturers' Association (AIPMA)
The All India Plastics
Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) established in 1945
is the oldest and largest apex body to promote
development and growth of Indian Plastics Industry.
Spectrum of membership include all categories of
plastics industry spread over 175 cities and towns
nationwide. Over 44 National and Regional Plastic
Associations all over India are affiliated to AIPMA.
AIPMA is one of the founder promoters of Plastindia
Foundation established in 1987 with an objective of
jointly promote interests |

Indian Plastics Industry globally, and Nodal Agent for
Arabplast Exhibition held in Dubai. AIPMA was Indian
partner for PlastPack Africa Exhibition in Kenya/South
Africa. AIPMA has representations in various Bodies /
Committees of Government of India for promotion of
Plastics and Petrochemical industries. Business
delegations to Chinaplas, K, Koplas, Taipei Plas, NPE,
etc. are organised regularly. The 10th Plastivision
India -2017 from 19-23 January, 2017 at Mumbai and 3rd
Plastivision Arabia 2016 from 10-13 January, 2016 at
Sharjah, UAE are announced.
